Aluminium Frame Our aluminium frames have a wall thickness from 1 to 3 mm, and are powdered coated. The number of rails of the track corresponds to the number of segments which form the dome enclosure. The track is fixed to an even surface horizontally (vertically if attached to the wall of the house). (Available in Romance & Sweet) (4 mm available in Sun Seeker) You may opt to use a one type of panel for the entire enclosure or for some parts only - e.g. front walls, side walls, etc. The panels come in a choice of three colours: Clear, Dark Tint and Light Tint Tracks Our Poly Dome doors operate on powder coated aluminium sections. - Solid PC Sheet Compact 3 mm polycarbonate has much better optical properties than honeycomb polycarbonate. An invisible film applied to the surface of the polycarbonate eliminates condensation and consequent water flow down the walls of the enclosure. The outer surface of all polycarbonate boards is covered in a high-quality UV stabilization layer, which absorbs the effects of harmful UV radiation and prevents impairment, cracking and unwanted colour changes in the polycarbonate.
