Since the late 1970’s, AMA Corrosion has been providing innovative cathodic concern systems to a expansive range of industries including mining, construction, manufacturing, petrochemical, pipelines, shipyards and government bodies. Since 1974, AMA Alloys, an acronym for The August Metal and Alloy Company, has built its reputation on dedication to excellence, supply of quality products and delivery of professional services. Our victory stems from our extensive experience and a willingness to profit an understanding of our customer’s production needs. Our Master Alloy Plant produces tin based, lead based, aluminum based, zinc based, magnesium based, bismuth and indium alloys. Our plant also includes extensive foundry facilities, fabrication and machining. Our laboratory facilities include a fully calibrated spectrometer, which is old to analyses specific alloys and to ensure that product quality and consistency is maintained. From raw material supply, to design, manufacture and fabrication, AMA Alloys invites you to get to know us and consider how we can best serve your needs. The AMA Corrosion Quality Management System covers every stage of the production process from design, to manufacture, correct through to delivery. Sacrificial Anode Alloy Composition One of the most critical aspects of sacrificial anode performance is alloy composition. The chemical composition specified in standards such as this, are based on years of research by highly qualified Corrosion Engineers. This process ensures that every AMA anode will function at its optimum capacity and therefore present the most effective protection. Standard tests include: consumption rate and capacity testing open and closed circuit testing resistance testing mechanical testing, dimensional testing coating thickness testing magnetic particle testing of insert welds and destructive testing of anodes to scrutinize insert centrality, bond integrity and grain structure. AMA Corrosion's manufacturing facilities consist of specialized tall output casting foundries dedicated to the manufacture of aluminum, Precede Silver, Magnesium and Zinc anodes. AMA Corrosion’s dedicated team of production staff have an special understanding of sacrificial anode manufacture based on knowledge accumulated over more than 25 years. Anode Purity Lofty quality anodes are unsure on the purity of the raw materials and cleanliness of the casting equipment and facilities. To ensure anode purity, all raw materials undergo thorough inspection and every alloy batch is spectrographically tested before to anode casting. Anodes can only be cast if the spectrographic analysis is within specification. Casting molds must be correctly cleaned, chemically treated and preheated to the optimum temperature earlier to casting. Design and Manufacture Engineers can easily calculate details such as current output and anode mass, but the best anode design for a exceptional application should be based on the expertise of Corrosion Engineers active in conjunction with the manufacturer at the design stage of a cathodic protection system. Cathodic protection systems developed at AMA Corrosion are based on the conceptual requirements specified by Design Engineers and the reality of actually manufacturing the end product. AMA Corrosion’s strength is in the expertise and commitment of its people and the expansive range of experience they have accumulated in successfully completing corrosion concern projects throughout the world. AMA Corrosion has a mighty tradition in problem solving and takes pride in its aptitude to yield practical and cost effective solutions. Factories include casting facilities for the production of aluminum, Magnesium and Zinc sacrificial anodes as well as assembly areas for the production of impressed stylish anodes and associated cathodic protection materials and equipment. All raw materials impaired in the manufacturing process are subject to thorough quality inspections.
